The Hamilton Handmade 1950s Suit XS

This suit's original owner and creator, Joan could not find any good fabric after the war in 1953. She made this suit by repurposing one of her husband's suits. The suit is in pristine condition and truly a work of art. The blazer has a stunning silhouette, tailored to emphasize both the waist and the hips.

Joan's daughter Shelagh insists the suit should be enjoyed and worn! The pieces could be worn separately, but I thought it a shame to separate them so they are being sold together.

Quality A. Excellent preloved condition. The bottom button has a longer strong than the others. I'm guessing this was an intentional tweak, as it makes the hips of the suit jacket fit slightly more generously. The extra length definitely helped me get that last button done! I'm a size Small. Skirt is currently at repair getting the zipper reinforced and can ship on or after May 28.
